The Norfolk & Norwich Association for The Blind
Social Groups
The NNAB runs Social Groups across the county.
Their aim is to provide social contact for people with sight problems within their own communities, supported by their friends and neighbours. A place where they can meet others with the same issues, discuss problems, share solutions and relax with the simple pleasure of being with friends who understand.
The groups meet to enjoy occasional speakers, games, refreshments and outings to places of interest.
The groups rely entirely on local volunteers to continue and without the unstinting support of friends and neighbours the life of the visually impaired of the county would be a lonelier thing.
