Our Norwich Centre provides a comprehensive service of advice and information. A wide selection of aids for every day living can be assessed and purchased, including equipment to assist in reading and using a computer. Our Centre is staffed by both sighted and visually impaired people. It is open daily including Saturday mornings; it is best to book for an appointment.

Mobile Equipment Centre

Our mobile visits towns, villages, schools and colleges throughout the County. It has a wide selection of equipment available to help those with sight problems ranging from computers to daily living aids. It also acts as an advice, information and education centre.

Diss Equipment Centre

Our Diss centre provides information, help and advice where useful equipment may be assessed and ordered. Open every Friday 10.00a.m-1.00p.m. Its address is Diss Methodist Church, Victoria Road, Diss, Norfolk.

Community Workers

Our eleven community workers provide a visiting, advice and support service to those in the Community with sight problems. Their main role is to encourage and help people to live a full and independent life.

Hospital Eye Clinics Information Service

This service provides local and national information of a non-medical nature to those attending the eye clinics, as either patients or carers, about the services available to people with poor sight in Norfolk.

If you or any of your family are experiencing difficulties with your sight, you may wish to discuss your problems or receive helpful advice. We may be able to help you, or put you in contact with someone who can. We have close contact with the RNIB and Norfolk County Council Social Services.
