The Association supports some 7,000 people with sight loss in Norfolk. We provide Accommodation and Care, a Community Visiting Service and Education and Recreational Facilities.



Do you have a genuine desire to lead an established yet progressive charity focussed on assisting blind and partially sighted people of all ages enjoy active and fulfilled lives in Norfolk?

The Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB) is seeking a committed, skilled and enthusiastic CEO to build upon the charity’s excellent reputation and track record of delivery of more than 200 years. We operate throughout Norfolk seeking to provide the widest possible levels of support to visually impaired people and their families.

 Working closely with the Board of Trustees you will provide strategic leadership and with the seniorteam ensure that sound, responsive operational and financial management is delivered throughout the charity. 

 You will be a confident and experienced strategic senior leader and inclusive communicator, who will progress the NNAB and continue to raise it’s profile.

SPORTS COORDINATOR required to enable over 150 visually impaired people to continue to enjoy their recreational activity. These include Ten pin bowling, tandem cycling, walks, archery, darts, sailing etc.

If you enjoy sports, have excellent organisational skills, are a people-person and are willing to drive a mini-bus then this could be for you.

Salary £16,336 – £20,105 p.a

Hours: 5 days p.w (35 hours)

COMMUNITY WORKER required to visit and support approx. 400 visually impaired people (VIP) in the Broadland area.

Based at Magpie Road, Norwich you will be part of a team of 10 community workers visiting new and existing VIP’s to give information and advice.

Salary £13,875 - £16,089

Hours – 4 days p.w (28 hours)

FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT required to be responsible for the NNAB community fundraising, working with shops, local councils and businesses in towns and villages in Norfolk.

Based at Magpie Road, you will be part of a small but busy team of three, supported by our volunteers.

You should be computer literate, a good organiser, a people person and able to drive and be a car owner.

Salary: £7,226 - £8,330 per annum

Hours of Work: 18 per week (3 days)
