Audio Book Group assistants - Gaywood

We are looking for people with literary leanings who would be prepare to help our Book Club Leaders to support and enable the visually impaired who attend our Gaywood book club. If you enjoy reading and talking about books please come and help people re-discover one of the greatest pleasures in life?

We run book clubs throughout Norfolk for the visually impaired to re-connect with literature. The Norfolk Library service provides the venues and the users have access to talking books in the Calibre Library. They need support, perhaps somebody from a literary background or from teaching, to assist the lively discussion that takes place. The NNAB provides backup and any specialized training that may be useful.

This opportunity is one that can make a real difference to people’s lives. The clubs not only give immense pleasure but open doors to the world for the visually impaired.
